Halloween!
I love being able to dress up and watch others use their imaginations as well. I normally try to have my family do some sort of family theme, but various parties snuck up on me, so I had the boys wear whatever they wanted. I am, however, going all out by celebrating with food.
We love to have the missionaries over each week and get to know them better and also to have the boys get to know them. Since there are 8 missionaries here, (and we can only have them over 2 at a time without getting preapproval from their mission president), I am having 4 different Halloween feasts. (I am having so much fun planning out different things to make.)
Here are photos from our first feast last Sunday. We had chili. With gourmet ghosts.
To go along with the chili I made haunted taco tarts. I actually made this last year (click HERE to see last year's dinner)
We also had spider slime dip. (AKA 'not quite 7-layer dip' with a sour cream (well, cream fraiche) web piped on.
For dessert we had batty brownies. I piped out bat shapes with melted chocolate and used red hots for their eyes.

I love all your Halloween food posts! It is all so gourmet! I'm trying to plan what to make for Claire's birthday party... I wish I could find some dry ice and make homemade rootbeer. These look so fun, though!
